In a significant move to deepen regional cooperation and advance Africa’s agricultural transformation, the Chief Executive Officer of Adwinton Trading and Investment Ltd, Mr. Yahya Awal, paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Samuel Oluwasegun Bolaji in Ibadan, Nigeria.

The high-level engagement brought together two influential agribusiness leaders committed to promoting innovation, industrialisation, and stronger partnerships across West Africa’s agricultural sector.

Engr. Samuel Oluwasegun Bolaji is the Managing Director of S. ADISS Agricultural Engineering Limited, widely recognised as the first indigenous company in Nigeria to fabricate feed mill equipment. Through locally engineered feed processing technologies, the company has played a pioneering role in supporting Nigeria’s livestock industry, reducing dependence on imported machinery, and strengthening indigenous manufacturing capacity.

Beyond his achievements in agricultural engineering, Engr. Bolaji is a respected leader within Nigeria’s business community. He currently serves as a National Officer of the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and as the Second Deputy President of the Ibadan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). He is also the Immediate Past National Coordinator of NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs, a position through which he championed youth entrepreneurship, enterprise development, and innovation across Nigeria.

His outstanding contributions to business, agribusiness and youth enterprise development earned him the prestigious NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneur Award.
The visit underscores the growing importance of collaboration between Ghanaian and Nigerian enterprises as Africa seeks sustainable solutions to food security, agricultural industrialisation, and economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

During the meeting, Mr. Yahya Awal reaffirmed Adwinton Trading and Investment Ltd’s commitment to building strategic partnerships that encourage technology transfer, investment, knowledge exchange, and regional value-chain development. He stressed that Africa’s agricultural future depends on stronger cooperation among indigenous businesses capable of delivering innovative and practical solutions for farmers and agribusinesses.

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in feed manufacturing technology, agricultural engineering, livestock nutrition, mechanised farming, agribusiness investment, youth entrepreneurship, and capacity building. Both leaders shared a common vision of creating an integrated agricultural ecosystem where African expertise and locally manufactured technologies drive productivity, create employment, and improve food security.

For Adwinton Trading and Investment Ltd, the engagement reflects the company’s continued expansion beyond Ghana as it seeks strategic alliances with leading agricultural innovators across the continent. The company has built a strong reputation for supplying premium livestock feed ingredients, animal nutrition products, and agricultural solutions that support poultry, piggery, and livestock farmers.
Likewise, S. ADISS Agricultural Engineering Limited continues to demonstrate the vital role indigenous engineering plays in Africa’s agricultural development.

By manufacturing feed mill equipment locally, the company has contributed significantly to industrial growth, technology development, and the modernisation of livestock production in Nigeria.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to pursue future collaborations that will promote agricultural engineering, agribusiness investment, youth empowerment, technology-driven farming, and stronger commercial ties between Ghana and Nigeria.

As Africa continues to position agriculture as a catalyst for economic transformation, the partnership between Mr. Yahya Awal and Engr. Samuel Oluwasegun Bolaj reflects a shared determination to build a more resilient, innovative, and competitive agricultural sector. Their engagement serves as a testament to the growing role of African-led enterprises in shaping the continent’s future through collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development.
